Cycle brand Endura becomes B Corp certified

Scottish cycle clothing and accessories brand Endura has joined the growing list of eco-conscious businesses to have achieved B Corp certification.

The Pentland-owned business called the award “a significant milestone in [its] efforts to become better as a business”, noting the certification from B Lab “demonstrates Endura’s commitment to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability”.

The brand said it has been working hard over recent years to put sustainability at the heart of everything it does and has taken numerous steps to improve their processes, remove harmful chemicals from their products while reducing its environmental footprint.

Endura’s B Corp status has been achieved through a company-wide programme that has seen “a multi-functional internal team assess against the exacting standards, supported by [the] parent group”.

Noah Bernard, SVP, of Endura, said: “The team have done an amazing job of assessing the wide range of activities that are covered under B Labs standards and taking necessary measures to ensure that we exceeded the pass mark. We’re looking forward to making further progress over coming years.”

And Sara Brennan, Positive Business Director, Pentland Brands, added: “[This] is a fantastic way of demonstrating and validating the great work Endura is doing in becoming more sustainable. It’s a great step forward for them in becoming part of the B Corp community and as the second brand in the Pentland Brands portfolio to achieve B Corp status.”
