Ranchi: The Sports Authority of Jharkhand (SAJHA) in collaboration with the state tourism, art, culture and youth affairs have set up a Central Library at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Morabadi. The library will be inaugurated on January 12.
It will house facilities for research, study areas, and community engagement programmes, promoting a vibrant exchange of ideas.
A librarian said, “The fusion of literature and sporting activities here will create a space that caters to the interests and holistic well-being of residents.”
The library, with a seating capacity of over 300, houses 20,000 books. Over 50,000 books within six months would be available in the next six months. The building has 24×7 water supply. The computer room is equipped with 28 computers with internet and Wi-Fi facilities. The monthly subscription fee is Rs 200.

The NDMC plans to improve facilities at its schools by providing computer tablets, strengthening sports infrastructure, and establishing nature-based classrooms. They will establish a wrestling center at Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya. The council aims to achieve Viksit Bharat@2047 by establishing modern infrastructure and green energy. They will distribute 9,000 tablets to students and expand the program to include all students from classes 9 to 12. They will upgrade sports infrastructure and lay synthetic rubber tracks at Nehru Park and Sanjay Park.
