Where Is Xur Today? (March 29-April 2) Destiny 2 Exotic Items And Xur Location Guide
Sure, some of the best and most sought-after weapons in Destiny 2’s long history will be pulled from the vault next month and overhauled, but you can never go wrong with a few Exotics to complement those legendary tools of destruction. Xur is here once again with a refreshed selection of gear, which might come in handy when the Onslaught mode goes live in April. Here’s where Xur is this weekend and what he has for sale.
This week you can find Xur in The Tower, inside the Hangar. For his weapon, Xur is offering Black Talon. Hunters can pick up Aeon Swift gauntlets; Titans can grab Antaeus Wards leg armor; and Warlocks can buy the Contraverse Hold gauntlets.
Xur Location
Spawn in using the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to find Xur this week. Head left and down the stairs to enter the Hangar section, then hang another left. Make your way to the north end of the area and look for a staircase that will take you onto a catwalk, where Xur is waiting.

Exotic Armor
Aeon Swift (Exotic Hunter gauntlets)
These Hunter Exotic gauntlets offer several perks to help improve your efficacy in battle, depending on the Sect mod you have active. They work pretty well if you’re playing in a team of Hunters and everyone else is wearing one of these Exotics with a different mod, making them particularly useful in PvP. The roll on this build favors mobility, intellect, and recovery, with resilience, discipline, and strength being quite low, so you’ll need to install some armor mods if you’re planning to wear this during your next match in the Crucible.
- Mobility: 15
- Resilience: 8
- Recovery: 11
- Discipline: 6
- Intellect: 18
- Strength: 7
- Total: 65
Antaeus Wards (Exotic Titan leg armor)
With the Reflective Vents armor Perk, Antaeus Wards gives your Titan a frontal shield to reflect damage when they slide with full class ability energy. Reflecting damage will deplete your class energy meter, but if you’ve ever run across a Titan wearing these in PvP, you know just how deadly their slide-and-shotgun combo is. This Exotic has a high mobility stat, and while that’s something Titans don’t usually prioritize, it works quite well with this armor. Discipline and strength are pretty good as well, but resilience and intellect is quite low so you’ll need to pump these up with some armor mods to get the most out of these fancy boots.
- Mobility: 26
- Resilience: 2
- Recovery: 7
- Discipline: 19
- Intellect: 2
- Strength: 12
- Total: 68
Contraverse Hold (Exotic Warlock gauntlets)
For the Warlock who loves hurling Void-energy grenades around, Contraverse Hold will do a pretty good job keeping them alive for a little longer. Charging a Void grenade allows you to resist incoming damage while landing a hit with them will return some grenade energy back to your meter. While this Exotic has a good discipline stat, it also has an unnecessarily high mobility stat and low resilience numbers. Strength is also good on this roll, but intellect takes a big knock. Get it if you don’t already have it, but this version of Contraverse Hold is a little too random with its allocation of stat points.
- Mobility: 20
- Resilience: 2
- Recovery: 12
- Discipline: 14
- Intellect: 2
- Strength: 14
- Total: 64
Exotic Weapons
Black Talon (Exotic sword)
Black Talon is a pretty good Exotic sword that Xur doesn’t offer too often. It works great in close-quarters, but you can also fire a heavy projectile attack from it. If you’re playing as a Titan, throw on some Stronghold Exotic gauntlets and run a Strand Banner of War build to get the most out of this sword.
- Crow’s Wings
- Tempered Edge
- Heavy Guard
- Tireless Blade
Hawkmoon (Exotic hand cannon)
This is a pretty decent roll of Hawkmoon this week, as the Eye of the Storm weapon perk gives you a fighting chance when you’re outgunned in a fight. This is a fairly popular perk in PvP, so pick this hand cannon up if you’re planning to enter that Destiny 2 mode this weekend.
- Paracausal Shot
- Full Bore
- Alloy Magazine
- Eye of the Storm
- Smooth Grip

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
