Ingredients in Walking Tacos
Meat: Ground beef taco meat is our first choice for this recipe. You can also use ground turkey, pulled chicken, or your favorite taco filling.
Chips: Choose your chips! Single-serve 1 oz. bags of Doritos are the perfect handheld option. Try a variety of flavors, Cool Ranch and Nacho Cheese are our favorites.
Seasonings: Buy or make your own homemade taco seasoning and have extra on hand for future recipes.

How to Make Walking Tacos
- Cook ground beef with taco seasonings.
- Gently crush some of the chips before opening the chip bag.
- Scoop taco meat into each bag and add desired toppings.

Walking Tacos
Walking tacos combine seasoned ground beef with crushed Doritos and your favorite toppings for a fun, easy, and flavorful meal.
Prevent your screen from going dark
Optional Add-Ins (per bag):
- Use a large skillet over medium heat to brown the beef until no longer pink, about 5 to 6 minutes.
- Add the taco seasoning & water to the skillet and cook until thickened about 2 to 4 minutes.
- While keeping the Doritos inside the bag, gently crush them until the chips are slightly broken.
- Add a heaping ¼ cup of taco meat to each bag. Layer desired toppings directly into the bag of chips.
- Toss the ingredients with a fork until well combined.
- This serves 6 and can be doubled or tripled if needed. Make sure to calculate to have at least ¼ cup of seasoned meat for each serving.
- Use any flavor of chips, we love Cool Ranch Doritos or Nacho Cheese Doritos.
- Meat can be prepared ahead of time and kept warm in a slow cooker.
- Use your favorite flavor of Doritos, Fritos, corn chips, or other tortilla chips to your liking.
- The add-ins are optional so that each walking taco can be personalized.
