UKTights acquires rival Luxury Legs, doubles its turnover
UKTights.com has acquired its rival Luxury Legs, effective from this week. Luxury Legs brings with it a turnover of £1.5 million, which adds to its new owner’s annual turnover of £1.5 million to £2 million in the past couple of years.
The UKTights business was co-founded by Dawn Barber in 2005 and she remains Managing Director of the firm. She said her firm is one of the UK’s biggest online retailers of legwear and lingerie and has seen tights sales going from “strength to strength” over the past two years.
That’s been helped by it being one of Wolford’s major accounts in the UK along with one of the leading accounts for other top hosiery labels such as Falke, Oroblu, Trasparenze and Cecelia de Rafael.
Barber said the acquisition of Luxury Legs, which includes its URL and database, will “further strengthen our legwear offering” and will “effectively double our turnover and make us the biggest online reseller of [third-party branded] legwear and lingerie globally offering over 75 brands of legwear”.
Acquiring the competition isn’t new for the business as it took over its main competitor, MYTights.com back in 2016.
