The Liberty Romford names key team as growth plan accelerates
Redical has named Cushman & Wakefield and Green & Partners to act on the retail and F&B leasing for The Liberty Romford shopping centre it owns and operates “as the evolution of the destination continues to gain momentum”.

The transformation programme was kickstarted last year with a multi-year Estate Improvement Budget of £7 million and the company said the appointment of the new team “plays a vital strategic role in the wider elevation and evolution of The Liberty Romford, which is the dominant shopping centre in Romford”.
It’s anchored by Primark, H&M, M&S, Flannels, JD Sports, Footlocker and Next, and is home to 120 brands in total.
Leasing Director is now Oliver Lloyd and Asset Manager is Daniel Tucker, both of Cushman & Wakefield. They’ll work with Green & Partners “to continue to drive the destination forward, enhancing its tenant portfolio and broadening its appeal to visitors”. A the same time, Green & Partners “will lead on lease expiries and rent reviews”.
They’ll also work alongside Montagu Evans’ on-site property management team, which has recently been expanded with a number of new appointments under Centre Manager, Tom Stobbard.
Oliver Lloyd said that “under the new ownership of, and significant investment from, Redical, The Liberty Romford is undergoing an exciting transformation. As the asset gathers place, it is imperative we have the right team on board to support our growth and develop our tenant mix”.
And Adam Bindman, Equity Partner at Green & Partners, added that Redical has “a clear vision of where they want to take the destination and together with Cushman & Wakefield, we are eager to play a pivotal role in the evolution of the shopping centre”.
Redical also said that the centre is ranked first out of 13 London satellite shopping centres by total retail spending and benefits from a retail shopper catchment of 1.1. million and annual footfall of 13.6 million.
It covers over 490,000 sq ft of mixed-use space and has strong public transport links via the Elizabeth line, making it just 35 minutes from Central London.
