Temple Sewadar: Temple Sewadar Found Murdered In His House In City | Kanpur News
Kanpur: A 59-year-old sewadar of Shri Anandeshwar Temple, Parmat, was found murdered in the front portion of his house under the limits of Gwaltoli police station area on Tuesday morning.
On receiving information, senior police officials, including additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) Central and a team from Gwaltoli police station along with forensic experts reached the spot and started investigations in this regard.
Police identified the deceased as Kanhaiya Lal Kashyap (59). The police later sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
The kin of sewadar have accused one of their neighbours and his associates of murdering him over a land dispute and have filed a complaint in this regard.
According to the information, Kanhaiya Lal used to live near Shri Anandeshwar Temple, Parmat, and was the temple’s sewadar.
On Tuesday morning, Kanhaiya Lal’s body with injuries was found lying in a pool of blood in the front portion of the house.
As per the complaint lodged by his son Sandeep Kashyap, his father had gone to sleep in the front portion of the house late Monday night. However, on Tuesday morning, his body with grievous wounds, was found lying on the bed in a pool of blood.
Hearing shrieks of the family members of the deceased, other people living in the vicinity reached and informed the Gwaltoli police station about the incident.
A police team and forensic experts under the supervision of ADCP Central Aarti Singh reached the spot and started an investigation.
An FIR has been registered on the basis of a complaint under the relevant IPC sections, the ADCP said.
“The matter is being investigated and soon the accused will be arrested and sent to jail. Sewadar’s son Sandeep said that their neighbour, whom he suspected, wanted to do some type of construction on their land and used to indulge in fights with them every day. We are probing every possible aspect for a breakthrough into the case,” the ADCP further said.

Neelam’s husband, Pradyum, immediately contacted her brother, Pankaj, who confirmed her death upon arrival.
