Dhanbad: The district education department has constituted a committee to enquire into the incidents whereby two girls were injured after plaster fell on them from the window visor at an upgraded middle Urdu school at Chitro-Bhuiyan under Topchanchi block of the district on Sunday.
The two Class VII students sustained head injuries.
The school remains close on Friday while Sunday is a working day.
District education officer B N Rajwar said the education department has directed all the schools of the district to repair damaged building parts at the earliest to avoid recurrence of such incidents. Both the injured girls were provided medical assistance at the sadar hospital and sent home, he added.
School headmistress Dayamuni Surin said while one of the injured girls was released from hospital after primary treatment, the CT scan report of the other girl is normal and she was sent home later.
