South Park: Snow Day Tips – 7 Things To Know Before You Play
Choose your cards wisely
Each chapter features upgradeable ability cards that you collect as you play. These grant you passive benefits that add a unique feel to each playthrough, but then you lose the cards once you finish the mission, giving the game a slightly roguelike feel.
This game features four-player co-op, so you’ll want to talk about playstyles with your teammates. If you want to be the aggro damage dealer, there are cards specifically for you, but make sure someone in your party chooses cards geared around healing.
If you’re playing solo, I highly recommend cards geared toward healing, especially when you’re just getting started. You’re given three AI teammates, and they’re not always efficient at staying alive or reviving you. It’s best to play the healer role yourself.
I liked starting my solo playthrough with the healing totem equipped, and then I would hope for cards that increased its usefulness. These cards include abilities such as enabling the totem to revive downed teammates, increasing its area of effect, and allowing you to deal damage to enemies near it.
