Sheep Inc launches carbon negative footprint T-shirt
Knitwear specialist Sheep Inc has launched what it claims is “the first carbon negative footprint ultra-light T-shirt”.

Ethically harvested from three regenerative New Zealand pastures/sheep stations (Lake Hawea, Middlehurst and Omarama), the shirt is woven from 100% extra-fine 19.5μ Merino wool.
Produced using sun-powered, zero-waste machinery in a flawless knit, each tee comes equipped with a detachable NFC tag “letting you trace back to the very farm of its origin”. And for a truly personal touch, the owner “can stay connected… [receiving] updates on your dedicated sheep with every wear”.
As for the finished product (created by Portuguese specialist knitter Fatextil) we’re also told it has “experience adaptive comfort naturally adjusting to the wearer’s needs”.
Sheep Inc also says every T-shirt is 100% biodegradable “to ensure there are zero traces of it at the end of life stage”.
The whole process is down to Sheep Inc’s “drive for sustainable supply chain innovation and its commitment to regenerative farming methods”.
The aim is to “create knitwear that leverages the best of nature and science-based material innovation [becoming] the first company to not only be classified as a sustainable fashion brand, but also as a regenerative one”.
The T-shirt has a retail price of £110.
