Rise & Fall’s eco aims lifted by B Corp status

There’s no doubting which direction Rise & Fall is heading in when it comes to sustainability.

Rise & Fall

The fashion and lifestyle retailer has joined the not-now-so-exclusive but ever-growing group of businesses achieving esteemed B Corp certification, becoming one of over 1,500 in the UK “committed to ethical practices”.

The tough-to-gain award signifies excellence across five crucial domains: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.

And Rise & Fall achieved an “exceptional” score of 100.5, surpassing an industry average by 20.6 points, “underscoring our unwavering commitment to sustainability”, the business said.

The brand specialises in what it refers to as “modern everyday classics” across clothing, accessories and homeware, “pioneering a better way… crafting exceptional essentials from premium materials akin to those found in luxury brands”.

Co-founder Jed Coleman says of the award: “We have always been committed to our responsibility to people and planet, using organic cottons, working with factories that use renewable energy and so on. The problem is that we can talk about these things, but consumers are wary of such claims due to the amount of greenwashing out there.

“B Corp provides an important stamp of approval that consumers can have faith in. They no longer need simply to take our word that Rise & Fall is creating a more sustainable form of retail, they can trust in the B Corp certification.”
