Rape: Man booked for raping woman in Morbi, Rajkot | Rajkot News
Rajkot: A 30-year-old man was booked for allegedly raping a 24-year-old woman in Morbi on January 1. The rape survivor’s brother filed a complaint with Morbi City A Division police. He alleged that his sister was taken into a room at an isolated place by accused Gopal Makwana and raped. The woman had gone to buy paan masala at a nearby shop but she did not return for a long time.When her family went out to look for her, she was seen coming back crying.
Caterer booked
Rajkot: A caterer has been booked by Bhuj City B Division police for using stale and rotten vegetables in the food prepared for the 250 girls of Samras hostel run by the district administration for students. The deputy director of scheduled caste welfare department at Bhuj, Vinod Rohit, told police that the owner of Chamunda Caterers violated the rules and regulations of the state government and used rotten vegetables for cooking which might create serious health issues for the students. The complaint was registered under Section 269 of IPC.
