Pokémon Day Presents: Every Trailer And Reveal

Closing out the show was the biggest surprise of the stream: Pokémon Legends Z-A. While Game Freak didn’t show any footage of the game itself, the teaser included blueprints of Lumiose City, a metropolis in the Kalos region featured in Pokémon X and Y. The implication is that the game will focus around the development of the city, and likely other major historical moments in the Kalos region. Pokémon Legends: Arceus was essentially an origin story for the Sinnoh region featured in Diamond and Pearl, so if Z-A follows this formula, we may see some major moments in the Pokémon timeline unfold.

The game will launch on Switch in 2025.
