The Congress is facing a dilemma over whether to accept the invitation for the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Accepting the invitation would indirectly endorse the violence of the temple movement and potentially alienate minorities and liberals. It would also challenge the Congress’ commitment to secular ideals and may offend the Dalit president of the party. The Congress is caught in a bind and must carefully navigate this test of faith.
