Paper Leak Cases: Two More Arrested In Paper Leak Cases, Tally 15 In 10 Days | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Rajasthan Police on Monday arrested two men accused of having played roles in the paper leak cases of the JEN Recruitment Examination, 2020, and the Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) Recruitment Examination, 2022. With the arrests of Ramhans Meena and Sachin, the total number of people arrested in these cases in a span of ten days has risen to 15.
The last ten days have seen SIT targeting suspects and accused wanted for their alleged involvement in paper leaks and impersonation cases in various recruitment examinations in the state.Ramhans Meena, is a resident of Baijupada in Dausa, had been on the run for a long time in the case of placing dummy candidates in the Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) Recruitment Examination, 2022.
“Ramhans Meena had twice arranged for a dummy candidate to sit in place of candidate Satyaprakash Meena during the examination for general knowledge and science subjects. The accused had negotiated a deal for Rs 22 lakh for this. Satyaprakash Meena had also got selected in the senior teacher recruitment examination. In return, Hansraj Meena had already received Rs 17 lakh. The SIT apprehended him before he could receive the remaining money,” said SIT’s in-charge ADGP VK Singh.
Sachin, a resident of Charkhi Dadri in Haryana, was wanted for his role in the paper leak case of JEN Recruitment Examination, 2020.
“A case of paper leak in the JEN recruitment examination was registered at Sanganer police station in 2020. The accused, Sachin, had been on the run since then. Preliminary probes revealed that he had obtained the question paper from a previously arrested accused, Pankaj Bagadia, before the examination started and struck a deal with candidates for Rs 15 lakh each,” said the ADGP. The roles of other accused in these cases are currently under investigation, he added.
“The list of suspects and accused wanted in different paper leak and cheating cases have been shared with the district SPs for their assistance in tracking them down… We have also dispatched police teams from Jaipur to assist in arresting the absconding suspects,” Singh told TOI.
