Our Favorite Trader Joe’s Beauty Products

I don’t know about you, but my 2024 budget is already looking rough. But for the first time, my skincare isn’t a problem. (Mocktail prices, on the other hand…)

My secret? Although Trader Joe’s is known for their seasonal snacks and frozen foods, their skincare is shockingly good at a reasonable price. Over the years, I’ve found some staples that I can’t get enough of. Their skincare products are all under $20, and slowly but surely, they’ve replaced my high-end (and much more expensive) ones.

These are the Trader Joe’s beauty products I absolutely swear by. Here’s to saving your wallet from heartache in 2024.

Rose Water Facial Toner

An oldie but a goodie, I’ve had this in my bathroom since the Thayer’s Witch Hazel Toner days. This toner is always on Trader Joe’s shelves for a reason. It’s a versatile hydrating mist that’s effective as a part of your morning or nightly skincare routine (it works best as a first step after cleansing) or as a boost of hydration throughout the day. The best part? At $3.99, you can keep one on your vanity, in your purse, and at your desk.

Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo

You know the feeling of spicy, tingling lip plumpers? This is that but for your hair. Tea tree and peppermint are great at removing buildup on the scalp, so I use this every other week as a clarifying shampoo. It feels slightly tingly, but my hair and scalp immediately feel refreshed and squeaky clean after. They also have a shampoo bar version if you’re looking to reduce plastic use!

Fragrance-Free Body Butter

For anyone who wants to join my dry skin support group, you’ll receive one of these body butters in your welcome bag. These body butters are newer to the scene (the fragranced Brazil Nut version went viral this summer for being a dupe for Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream). The fragrance-free version is just as smooth and hydrating and feels more practical for day-to-day use. It’s non-sticky and hydrates my skin deeply, leaving it glowing even in dry winter weather. I love an unscented lotion, but if you prefer a scent, TJ’s releases seasonal versions to be on the lookout for.

Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Cream

During the cooler months, it’s important to remember not to neglect your hands. Nobody wants cracked knuckles or peeling cuticles, and this hand cream will make sure to prevent them. Nobody wants a greasy hand cream that leaves a residue, and this one manages to be lightweight and hydrating without leaving behind an annoying, oily feeling. It sinks in so well and moisturizes so deeply that it encourages me to use it multiple times throughout the day.

Jojoba Oil

My mom absolutely swears by this super versatile oil. Jojoba oil is already in many of my much-loved products, but with this 100 percent version, you can hydrate your hair, skin, and nails all in one swoop. I use a small amount as a final step for hydrating all three to lock in moisture. It’s super effective and feels luxurious at a price point that can’t be beaten.
