Omnes partners with The Seam, gains B-Corp certification
We know B-Corp certification has become a hallmark for UK fashion retailers to elevate their eco status and the latest to join them is Omnes.
But the contemporary fashion label has taken this one step further by also revealing a new partnership with repair service The Seam in order to extend the lifespan of its products and reduce waste.
First, the B-Corp award. This, we’re told, was achieved through “rigorous assessment” to meet standards of social and environmental performance and transparency.
It scored a total of 101.7 points in the assessment, above the 80 points required to qualify and 80.9 being the average scored by businesses in the fashion industry.
Omnes said the certification reflected its “dedication to using business as a force for good and making a positive impact on the planet and its people”.
It also joins The White Company, Scamp & Dude and Joanie Clothing that have gained recent accreditation with B Corp status.
And to further endorse its sustainability efforts, Omnes said the new partnership with repair service The Seam coincides with Earth Day (22 April) when customers will be able to access repair services provided through Omnes’ website. It joins a group of major fashion names in using the Seam service, such as LK Bennett and Net-A-Porter.
CEO and founder of Omnes, Jordan Razavi, said: “This [B-Corp certification] achievement has been in our sights since day one, and not only does it underscore our commitment to sustainability, but also cements our core values and ethos.
He added: “Through our partnership with The Seam, we are proud to provide our customers with a sustainable solution that extends the lifespan of their garments, further solidifying our mission to make a positive impact on both people and the planet.”
