Winnick’s quest sends you out to deal with a leader of a local band of rebels, the Risen, who are planning to attack Sacrament. Your job is to put an end to their leader, Darak. Head to the Orban Glades and make your way to the north end of the area; you’ll need to use the elevator near the drawbridge of Mariner’s Keep to get to where Darak and his forces are waiting.

Eventually, you’ll challenge Darak in combat. He’s a big guy with a huge sword and a long reach, and he’s backed up by a few Risen soldiers, which can make this a tough fight. A helpful strategy early on is to use Darak against his men. No Rest for the Wicked includes friendly fire for enemies, and Darak isn’t particularly careful about his sweeping attacks, so you can bait him to swing away and kill his backup pretty easily. When that’s done, focus on quick hit-and-run attacks against Darak. He’s fast for such a big guy, but you can dodge through his attacks pretty easily. His vertical strikes also have a fairly long wind-up, making it possible to anticipate and parry them. When you see him draw his sword back behind him, as soon as it starts on the downward part of the swing, hit the parry button to put Darak on his back foot and open him up to a quick counterattack.

You can beat Darak here, but you won’t kill him–he’ll run off at the last second. Head back to Sacrament to see Winnick again for the next step.
