Nintendo has just sprung a Nintendo Direct on everybody, and as is custom, it’s just around the corner. And by that I mean it’s tomorrow morning. The next Direct airs on February 21 at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET. At 25 minutes, this Direct won’t be the longest ever, but it is sizable enough that we should expect to see some interesting games including a possible appearance from Xbox.

Where to watch the February 2024 Nintendo Direct

As always, the Nintendo Direct will be available to watch on the Nintendo YouTube. The official announcement for the Direct states that it will be available to watch on-demand when it releases at 6 a.m. PT/ 9 a.m. ET. So rather than watching it live and hoping something interesting happens you will likely be able to scrub through the entire Direct and pick out any big announcements in no time.

What to expect at the February 2024 Nintendo Direct

This Partner Showcase and focus on Nintendo Switch games coming in the first half of 2024 from Nintendo’s publishing and development partners. That means you shouldn’t hold your breath for any first-party news related to the likes of the upcoming Princess Peach: Showtime! Or Metroid Prime 4. However this might still be an exciting Direct to watch due to the recent news about four Xbox exclusives going multiplatform.

This news comes on the heels of weeks of rumors and leaks about what those four games are and where they are heading. The latest reports say that both Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment are coming to Switch, so this Direct might be the time we see that news made official. Also, be on the look out for a new enhanced edition of Shin Megami Tensei V, as just this week Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance was rated in Korea. Ports and updated editions seem to be the main event in store for tomorrow’s Direct. Of course there is always the possibility that Hollow Knight: Silksong appears. The game just passed five years since its initial announcement.

Why we probably won’t see Switch 2 news at the February 2024 Nintendo Direct

While we have been talking about a successor to the Switch for years, the possibility of this actually taking shape seems more likely than ever thanks to a number of leaks and reports on Nintendo’s next console. But don’t expect to hear anything tomorrow. That’s because the latest reports indicate the Switch 2 has been pushed from late 2024 into Q1 of 2025. So we will need to wait a little longer for official news on the console.
