Congress: Congress MLA Takes Dig at Deve Gowda: Former Minister PM Narendraswamy | Mysuru News

Mysuru: Former minister and Congress MLA PM Narendraswamy, on Sunday, took a dig at JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda stating that the former PM should be indebted to Congress and not the other way around.
Narendraswamy said it was because of Congress that Gowda adorned the chair of the PM. The former PM must be cautious while speaking about Congress, he stated.Congress not only made him the PM, but the party was also responsible for his son HD Kumaraswamy becoming the CM of the state. Gowda has joined hands with the BJP to protect his family and has sidelined the secular ideology, he said.
When asked about the JD(S)-BJP coalition ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Narendraswamy, indirectly chided Kumaraswamy stating that the person, who had announced a grant of Rs 8,000 crore for the development of Mandya, had not even released Rs 8 after his son lost in the elections. People of Mandya are aware of it and will teach them a lesson in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, he said.
Commenting on the appointments of the chairman to various boards and corporations, Narendraswamy clarified that he was not an aspirant to any of the boards and corporation’s posts and added that he was aspiring to become only a minister.tnn
