Global threads producer Coats Group is making great strides in building its footwear division, introducing a  “ground-breaking” new portfolio of ‘Running Solutions’ for the performance market.

It’s designed to “provide footwear brands with all the key structural components and performance threads they need to create high performance running shoes”.

The “unique” offer aims to bring together an extensive array of best-in-class technologies from Coats Footwear.

From high-performance threads to innovative structural components, Running Solutions combines technologies “that can help maximise results at every mile – on roads, on trails, in marathons, and on the track” delivering “reliability, sustainability, innovation, and performance,” we’re told.

These include engineered structural components such as heel counters, toe puffs, non-woven insoles, composite plates, eyelet reinforcement that sit alongside premium threads, yarns, and jacquard weaving technologies.

And of course, the portfolio supports the environmental objectives of footwear brands and manufacturers, it noted, with sustainability at the core of the offer including technologies featuring “substantial amounts” of recycled content while adhering to Global Recycled Standards.
