Burlington Arcade appoints Savills to further expand its luxury offer
Regarded as the ‘Jewel of Mayfair’, London’s Burlington Arcade has appointed real estate advisor Savills as the sole leasing agent.
The high-end shopping destination, billed as the world’s oldest luxury shopping emporium, is said to attract 4.5 million visitors a year,
Richard Scott, Director in Central London Retail at Savills, said of its appointment. “London is a luxury powerhouse, and Mayfair is a lucrative market for premium brands looking to make the most of a concentration of wealthy residents in an affluent London neighbourhood, a trend that we have seen pick up pace following the pandemic and its confinement of domestic luxury spend. We can bring our Prime Global Retail network in the luxury world to this instruction, and look forward to working on the historic Arcade, home to some of the most esteemed brands.”
The arcade has transformed itself in recent years from one best known for its jewellers and silversmiths to a luxury fashion brand destination. Its tenants include luxury fashion, perfumeries, fine jewellery, leather goods and artistic hubs and is currently home to flagship stores such as Manolo Blahnik, Anya Hindmarch, Strathberry, Baudoin & Lange, Vilebrequin, Begg X Co, N.Peal, Omega Vintage Boutique, The Vintage Watch Company and Globe-Trotter.
