NEW DELHI/SURAT: A day before Congress and AAP were due to hold seat-sharing talks, the latter’s national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday declared jailed MLA Chaitar Vasava, a tribal, as party candidate for 2024 Lok Sabha polls from Gujarat’s Bharuch constituency.
Delhi AAP ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi and Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak will attend Monday’s meeting where Congress will be represented by ex-Union minister Salman Khurshid and others, sources said.The maiden meeting, they said, is likely to be a preliminary exercise to acquaint both sides with the thinking within; a formal decision on seat-sharing will be finalised later.
