Kanpur: A driver of a dumper died after his vehicle collided with another dumper in Patara area under the limits of Ghatampur police station of the district late on Sunday night.
The villagers and the police pulled out the driver who was trapped in the cabin of the dumper.
People rushed him to Community Health Centre, Patara, where he died during treatment.The police identified the deceased as Jitendra Singh of Chawar village in Ghatampur area of the district.
The driver of another dumper however managed to flee from the site. Inspector, Ghatampur, Pradeep Kumar Singh said that the body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem. Efforts are on to arrest the driver of another dumper involved in the accident.
