Lucknow: Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and actors Piyush Mishra and Faisal Malik will be the star attractions at the 11th season of Metaphor Lucknow Litfest to be organized at Confederation of Indian Industry campus in Gomtinagar on January 13-14.
The event will have sessions on marginalized communities, travel, history, performing and fine arts, cinema, poetry and children’s literature.
On Day 1, bhajan singer Sumit Dubey will perform followed by a discussion on Lord Ram by author Vidya Vindu Singh and a session on ‘Society, government and literature of the marginalized’. A discussion on autobiography of scientist Qamar Rehman, a talk on evolution of Nawabi regime by historian Ravi Bhatt, kathak ballet by Surabhi Singh, mahfil-e-ghazal by Prabha Srivastava and a discussion on struggle and success in cinema by Imtiaz Ali and Asheesh Kapoor will also be held on the inaugural day.
On Day 2, there will be a discussion on policing with former DG CRPF AP Maheshwari. Actor Faisal Malik will speak at a session on ‘The craft of New Age Cinema’ along with Avantika Dassani, Divya Prakash Dubey and Jyoti Kapur Das.

The Chhattisgarh high court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai met to discuss issues related to the judiciary. They talked about infrastructure development in courts and recruitment for vacant positions. The meeting also included Deputy chief minister Arun Sao, chief secretary Amitabh Jain, high court registrar General Arvind Verma, and principal secretary of the law department, Rajneesh Shrivastav.
