Sony has revealed its most-downloaded games in the US and Canada for March, and sitting at the top of the list is Helldivers 2 once again. The call for managed democracy proved to be irresistible to interested players, as the Arrowhead-developed game surged to the top of the charts. First released in February this year, Helldivers 2 was the most-downloaded game that month in the US, thanks in part to its great gameplay, a constant influx of new content, and a premium battle pass that could be unlocked without needing to spend a cent.
New releases like MLB The Show 24 and Dragon’s Dogma 2 claimed the second and third spots on the list respectively, an impressive start for these two games in the US. Riding the Wrestlemania wave into fourth place was WWE 2K24, which was the same position on the US and Canadian chart that it occupied in 2023 when WWE 2K23 was released that year. One of the other big new games of 2024, Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin, debuted in ninth place, The Outlast Trials arrived in gruesome style in 14th place, and South Park: Snow Day was the final new release in 15th place.
Interestingly, other new games like Microsoft’s port of Hi-Fi Rush, the Alone in the Dark reboot, and Unicorn Overlord didn’t crack the top 20 on PS5 in the US. Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth was the 11th most-downloaded game in the US last month, but it is worth noting that it took the second place position in February when it launched at the end of that month. You can see the full list below, as well as the most-downloaded PS4, PlayStation VR, and free-to-play games in the US for last month.
