What’s next for the world of Pokemon? A new Pokemon Presents livestream is aiming to answer all of your burning questions today, as The Pokemon Company promised “exciting” news when it first teased this event. Like previous events, we’re expecting to see not only what the future holds in store for Pokemon video games but also what to expect from the mobile, anime, and trading card game side of the franchise.
Typically, a Pokemon Presents event is anchored by a main event in the video game department, as previous broadcasts officially revealed new mainline titles like Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Last year saw the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet expansions in the spotlight, and now that the games set in the Paldean region have wrapped, we’re expecting to see a brand-new game representing Pokemon on the Switch.
It might be too early to expect a new mainline entry, and if history is a solid indicator of what to expect, then we could be in for a new remake. The August 2023 Pokemon Presents might have teased a remake of Pokemon Black and White, but we could also see a spin-off like Pokemon Legends: Arceus revealed during Pokemon Presents.
We’ll be updating this feature with all of the reveals during the livestream so don’t forget to refresh this page, and for a closer look at what to expect from Nintendo’s third-party partners this year, you can check out all the highlights of the February 2024 Nintendo Direct.
