KTR slams Congress for ‘chronic betrayal’ of public trust | Hyderabad News



HYDERABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the fighting spirit of the BRS was exhibited in the first session of assembly elections and the ruling party can predict how it would be if KCR steps in the assembly after complete recovery in the budget sessions.
While reminding the party’s fighting spirit and KCR’s ability to fight for the Telangana people’s aspirations.KTR said, “The three-letter word ‘KCR’ is more powerful than the two-letter word ‘CM.’ He said the responsibility to safeguard Telangana’s achievements and development by securing victory in the coming elections.
Speaking at the Khammam Lok Sabha constituency leaders meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, KTR accused Congress party of a chronic pattern of betraying public trust and failing to deliver on promises. He said in the 1989 assembly elections, where the Congress won against TDP, but in the immediate Lok Sabha elections, they lost heavily. KTR asserted, “This pattern of broken promises, losing people’s mandate is deeply ingrained in the Congress.”
On Congress government’s one-month performance, alleging negligence in implementing poll promises made to SC, ST, BC, and other communities.
Announcing the party’s action plan for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he said that KCR would start meeting the public in February. He also mentioned that party state and district committees would be constituted that would conduct comprehensive reviews every two to three months. Following present parliamentary reviews, detailed assessments of assembly constituencies would be undertaken.
