Develop a short and long term marketing vision for the Company and develop a suitable plan of action for all aspects of marketing chain.
2. Build requisite data base / statistics for each products / produces in respect of procurement centers, seasonality, quantity, quality, rates, traceability etc. as also buyers and their demands both in terms of quality, quantity, rates, etc.
3. Develop marketing channels which inter alia include appointment of dealer & distributors, bulk buyers, processors, exporters.
4. Develop product promotion schemes, literature, packaging, labeling etc.
5. Determine a mechanism to fix procurement and selling price of each commodity for different market centers and channels.
6. Lead all relevant marketing & research initiatives to gain Insights, analyze research to understand Consumers, Brand-Consumer Interactions and Brand Issues. Identify & Implement plans to Leverage growth Opportunities.
7. Other issues related to marketing including publicity etc.
Requisite qualification & experience:-
– Post Graduate in Agriculture preferably MBA (Agribusiness) with 8-10 years of experience in Agricultural Marketing
– Experience in trade marketing, export of agricultural commodities and retail supply chain management
– Prior exposure to Agriculture and Agribusiness Sales & Marketing, developing online agriculture products marketplace for agricultural & organic produces
– Exposure to product promotion & sales, brand management a distinct advantage
– Knowledgeable of retail service industry preferred
– Ability to work in a fast pace environment with limited resources
– Leadership/Managerial Skills, Manpower handling skills
