VILLUPURAM: Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu recorded an average rainfall of 46.03mm in the last 24 hours ending at 6am on Tuesday. The district received a total rainfall of 966.7mm.
Marakkanam recorded the highest rainfall in the district with 194mm followed by Tindivanam (88), Gingee (68.3mm), Vanur (62), Semmedu (57.4mm) and Anandhapuram (55.2mm).
There was no loss of human life.No one was injured in any rain-related incidents.
Fourteen huts were partly damaged while one hut was fully damaged. Six goats, two cows and a calf were killed in rain-related incidents.
