Mangaluru: Sullia Autorickshaw Drivers Association members filed a complaint with Sullia police after a banner put up by them in Sullia town wishing successful consecration of Ram Lalla in the newly built temple in Ayodhya on January 22, was found damaged.
After receiving the complaint on Saturday, Sullia police verified the footage from CCTV cameras at 40 locations and noticed an unknown person, suspected to be mentally ill, damaging the banner and moving around in the town on January 5 midnight.Members of the public also have seen the person chanting Rama Japa holding a piece of banner at Vivekananda Circle in Sullia. Though the banner was damaged, the image of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir and Lord Rama were intact. The investigation is still in progress, police said. TNN
