French Connection links with Next for homewares
Since French Connection was taken over by MIP Holdings a little over two years ago, the company has focused on its recovery, taking each development slowly and steadily. And this week it has announced a new partnership deal with Next for French Connection Home.
It has created an exclusive collection of “artisan homeware pieces consistent with the brand’s unique handwriting, from nature-inspired furniture to statement textiles and sleek accessories”.
It’s a year-round offer of 180 items, which spans some “re-engineered classics” as well as new categories such as bedlinens, towels, curtains and wall art.
We’re told the new “carefully curated” collection captures the aesthetic of the French Connection homewares brand.
It’s made from “natural materials from around the world” and offers “craftsmanship at its best with distinctive pieces not to be found anywhere else on the high street”.
The company said French Connection Home “is now ready to scale up significantly and move to having a much more comprehensive collection offering. Through this partnership with Next, the brand will offer a sizeable collection, significantly upscaled in breadth with an all-encompassing furniture and textile
offering”.
The brand continues to be directed and managed by Catharine Denham, Head of Home at French Connection, “ensuring that the strong design DNA is retained”.
She said that the new offer “seamlessly integrates organic shapes, earthy textures, and vibrant hues to evoke the essence of the great outdoors. You can expect artisan craftsmanship and unique patterns, with many products in the range finished by hand”.
It will also be available to buy at Next online and in selected Next stores from 24 April, as well continuing to be available in French Connection stores and online.
