2024 BMW i4 gets refreshed – new 401 hp xDrive40

BMW has given the BMW i4 some updates for the 2024 model year. Not quite substantial enough to be considered an “LCI” facelift, but there are some differences nonetheless.

It gets new headlamps, a new design for the kidney grille, the option for BMW Laser Light rear lights, and some updates to the interior. There are also two new colours – Cape York Green Metallic and Fire Red Metallic. The top of the range M50 model also now gets M-specific wing mirror caps.

2024 BMW i4 gets refreshed – new 401 hp xDrive40

Previously if you wanted all wheel drive with the i4 you had to go all the way to the top of the range M50 model. Now, you can opt for the new xDrive40 variant, which offers 401 hp and can go from 0-100km.h in 5.1 seconds.

Will this new motor config come to Malaysia? Previously we had the eDrive40 which was less powerful, then a cheaper eDrive45 was introduced.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend React to Receiving Meghan Markle’s ‘Epic’ Jam

Meghan Markle surprised fans when she made her return to Instagram earlier this year, promoting her new entrepreneurial endeavor, American Riviera Orchard — a brand of artisanal jam preserves. As it turns out, her new jam already has some famous fans.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recently walked the red carpet at the premiere of the new Netflix series A Man In Full — held at the TUDUM Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday, ahead of the show’s May 2 premiere — and the couple spoke with ET’s Cassie DiLaura about the tasty preserves.

Teigen took to Instagram Wednesday morning to show off the jam — which was sent to her and several other celebs as Markle works to build the brand — and to share a video of herself and her kids making sandwiches with bacon, brie and the jam.

“That sandwich was, like, incredible. One of the best bites I’ve had in a long time,” Legend marveled while thinking back to the quick breakfast dish. “I want that exact sandwich again.”

“It was pretty epic,” Teigen added.

The cookbook author and model explained how, when she occasionally gets hand-crafted artisanal ingredients or food items, it’s hard to bring herself to actually cook with them.

“You don’t want to use it, because I don’t want to lose it,” Teigen said. “So now, I feel like we did the sandwich, and now I’m gonna keep [the jam] in my fridge forever.”

While Teigen and Legend said that they haven’t gotten a chance to do “a double date” with Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, Teigen recalled that she and Markle do have something of a past link when it comes to their acting careers.

“I was on Deal or No Deal ages ago,” Teigen said, as Legend explained they are “both Deal or No Deal alumni.”

While Markle was one of the game show’s briefcase models during the first two seasons of the show, Teigen said her own time on the series was much more brief.

“I didn’t actually make it past — I was not one of the [briefcase] girls for more than two episodes,” Teigen recalled. “Because I couldn’t do any choreography or anything. So they demoted me to a banker girl.”

That being said, the pair both appeared together during a few episodes in season 2.

The Duchess of Sussex launched the official IG account for American Riviera Orchard back in March. Meghan appeared in a brief video shared on the account’s Instagram Story, where she was in a kitchen and in a garden. There was no indication at the time what the company’s primary product would be.

This marked Meghan’s first official return to social media since 2020 — when she and Harry shut down their joint Instagram and Twitter accounts dedicated to their Sussex Royal brand after stepping away from their royal duties.

7 Reasons Sex Is Important for Your Marriage

Ponder this, those first two people. The Bible elaborates in the next chapter on how they came into being at his command — how, after God created the man and put him in the Garden of Eden, he saw it was “not good” for the man to be alone (Genesis 2:18). So he determined he would create a helper fit for the man, causing the man to fall into a deep sleep, taking one of his ribs, and then forming a woman from the man.

The man exclaimed, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man” (v. 23).

Because of this, the Bible tells us, a man shall leave his father and his mother and “hold fast” to his wife, and they shall “become one flesh” (v. 24).

What a beautiful, intimate picture of a marriage this shares — two people, parts of one whole, with God at the center.

Today, marriages are not always like this initial design. Men and women often fight to retain the self, forgetting they are supposed to be one wedded body. Distractions and worldly issues press in, threatening to tear apart what God united.

There is one important thing uniquely designed for marriage, however, that can help remind a couple physically, emotionally, and spiritually of their extraordinary, God-ordained marriage bond: Sex.

Whether we call it making love, bedroom intimacy, marital relations or any other name, sex within the boundaries of a marriage is a wonderful, God-orchestrated thing. God created sex, and like all things God created, it both glorifies and pleases him when it is pure and right.

The Bible is filled with much instruction about improper sex, from immorality and obscenity to sex outside the bonds of marriage, and with all the warnings about consequences of improper sex, sometimes we don’t pay enough attention to the good things God has to say about sex within a marriage.

But make no mistake: Sex is extremely important in a marriage, fostering intimacy and glorifying the Lord like nothing else.

Here, let’s explore seven reasons sex is critically important in marriage.

What are the benefits of turmeric for hair?

Here are some potential benefits of turmeric for hair.

1. Reduces hair loss

Turmeric can help stop hair loss by addressing some of the underlying causes. Its anti-inflammatory properties can reduce scalp inflammation, a common factor in hair loss, according to a 2021 study published in the Journal of Controlled Release. Turmeric’s antioxidant effects can also neutralise free radicals that damage hair follicles and lead to thinning hair.

2. Keeps dandruff at bay

Turmeric can help to get rid of dandruff, thanks to its antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. X-Men ’97 Reveals Theo James’ Mystery Role

Before the premiere of X-Men ’97, it was announced that Theo James, the star of Netflix’s The Gentlemen, would provide the voice of “a fan-favorite character” on the series. And during the events of this week’s episode, “Bright Eyes,” James’ role was finally revealed to fans… and his importance to the remaining episodes of Season 1 may have been underplayed by X-Men ’97’s creative team.

Warning: the following contains spoilers from the latest episode of X-Men ’97 on Disney+. If you haven’t seen the installment or don’t want to know what happens, stop reading now.

Sharp-eyed viewers may have caught a glimpse of James’ character in the fourth episode, “Lifedeath 1,” when he appeared in a picture on Forge’s wall. But now, Bastion stands revealed as the true mastermind behind the mutant massacre on Genosha, as well as Operation: Zero Tolerance, an initiative that has created advanced human Sentinels.

In the comics, Bastion was the fusion of Master Mold and Nimrod after they were forced through a mystical object called the Siege Perilous. When Bastion returned to Earth in a human body, he launched the Prime Sentinel program and systematically targeted the X-Men and their allies. That history is seemingly repeating itself on the show, although Bastion’s alliance with Mister Sinister is new.

The seventh episode confirmed that Gambit died during the assault on Genosha, but it also revealed that Magneto survived and is now a prisoner of Bastion. Additionally, Bastion now has proof that the X-Men lied about Charles Xavier’s death, and he may use that to discredit them before unleashing his “masterpiece” against them.

X-Men ’97’s three-part season finale, “Tolerance is Extinction,” will begin on Wednesday, May 1.

2025 Ram Rebel X and Warlock join the Hurricane-powered Ram 1500 range

The big news in off-road 2025 Ram 1500 pickups is, of course, the new RHO with its TRX body and suspension, but lower price and Hurricane engine. But it’s not the only Ram 1500 that has just been revealed with a penchant for dirt. It launched two other trims for two other purposes and price points. Among them is the Rebel X, which adds additional features for comfort and capability for off-road use over the regular Rebel. And then there’s the Warlock, which continues from last year, but with the new straight-six.

2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X

The Rebel X is the range-topping Rebel, and it celebrates 10 years of the nameplate. It’s built off the Rebel Level 2 equipment group, which adds features such as the 14.5-inch center touchscreen, passenger-side infotainment screen, panoramic sunroof, heated front and rear seats, heated wheel, dual phone charging and 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system among many others. From there it adds a number of extra features including a new Rough Road Cruise Control. In addition to maintaining speed on dirt roads, it also continuously adjusts suspension damping and steering weight as needed. It would seem like it might be for low speed, similar to Toyota’s Crawl Control or Ford’s Trail Control, but Ram didn’t go into deep detail about it. Additionally, the Rebel X gets special logo decals, high-bolster seats, the paddle shifters and console shifter from the G/T package and red interior accents. Otherwise it gets the same 1-inch suspension lift, Bilstein shocks, 33-inch tires on 17-inch wheels, softer rear anti-roll bar, sport hood, black bumper, skid plate, LED fog lights and other black exterior accents as a Rebel. It also gets the standard-output Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine with 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. It starts at $66,190 with destination

2025 Ram 1500 Warlock

Also revised is the Ram 1500 Warlock. As before, it’s meant as an affordable option that offers some of the core upgrades of the Rebel, but without a bunch of the fancier features that raise the price. So it gets a 1-inch suspension lift and a skid plate, plus loads of black accents, including the dual exhaust tips. But it has 18-inch wheels, the basic 8.4-inch infotainment screen, physical gauge dials and a cloth front bench. It does still get a leather-wrapped steering wheel, though, along with nadaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist and blind-spot monitoring. Heated front seats, a spray-in bedliner and side steps are options. Under the hood is the base Hurricane engine with 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. The Warlock starts at $56,255

Jeff Daniels on 30th Anniversary of ‘Dumb and Dumber’ and Where Harry Would Be Now (Exclusive)

Jeff Daniels cannot believe it has been three decades since the first Dumb and Dumber movie was released in theaters.

Talking with ET’s Cassie DiLaura from the premiere of his new Netflix show, A Man in Full, on Wednesday, the 69-year-old actor joked about his role as Harry in the iconic 1994 comedy and what it means to have the film — which was written by the Farrelly brothers and also starred Jim Carrey — celebrate such a major anniversary.

“And we’re still that stupid,” he said, laughing. “That was great. I loved doing that movie. I love Jim [Carrey], the Farrelly brothers and yeah, I have nothing but fond memories of that.”

As for where his character would be today — 10 years after the sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, hit theaters — the two-time Emmy Award-winning actor said he fears what kind of position Harry would be in if the audience caught up with him.

“It’s scary to think where Harry might be now because I played him like he had an IQ of eight. A single-digit IQ,” Daniels said. “I don’t know where someone with an IQ of eight would end up, but it’s probably not in a good place.”

Sadly for fans hoping that he and Carrey, 62, might have something special up their sleeves for the film’s milestone anniversary, The Newsroom alum said there haven’t been conversations about any kind of reunion.

Instead, he sent a message directly to Carrey. “Just that, I love you, Lloyd. I love you, Lloyd. You’re just my forever, Lloyd,” the actor joked, referencing Carrey’s character in the film.

For right now, Daniels is focused on promoting his new series, in which he stars as Charlie Croker, a real estate tycoon who must fight his way back to the top after bankruptcy and legal woes.

He told ET that it was the writing of The Practice creator David E. Kelley and the promise of Regina King as a director that initially caught his eye, but the script sold him on it ultimately.

“I read the first episode, and I just said, ‘This guy, this Charlie Croker guy is larger than life. He is the star in his own show,'” he told ET of his character.

A Man in Full also stars Diane Lane, Tom Pelphrey, William Jackson Harper and Lucy Liu

The show hits the streaming platform on May 2.

DOJ charges one of America’s top LOs in alleged mortgage fraud scheme

Two former New Jersey-based mortgage loan originators have been charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of New Jersey according to an announcement by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger.

Christopher Gallo has been recognized as a top-producing loan originator, at one point being named Scotsman Guide‘s fourth-ranked LO in America. Gallo previously shared perspectives with HousingWire on his business strategy for 2023 after enduring challenges in 2022. At the time, Gallo was employed by NJ Lenders Corp, which primarily operates in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Alongside Gallo, Mehmet Elmas was also named in the complaint, filed by a special agent working under the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) at the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). The complaint says that Gallo and Elmas were employed by the same company at the time of the alleged offense, with Elmas working as Gallo’s assistant.

Gallo and Elmas have each been released on a $200,000 bond after appearing before a magistrate judge in Newark federal court, the DOJ said.

“From 2018 through October 2023, Gallo and Elmas used their positions to conspire and engage in a fraudulent scheme to falsify loan origination documents sent to mortgage lenders in New Jersey and elsewhere, including their former employer, to fraudulently obtain mortgage loans,” the DOJ alleges.

The pair allegedly “routinely mislead mortgage lenders about the intended use of properties to fraudulently secure lower mortgage interest rates,” adding they “often submitted loan applications falsely stating that the listed borrowers were the primary residents of certain proprieties when, in fact, those properties were intended to be used as rental or investment properties,” the complaint alleges.

The alleged scheme misled lenders about the “true intended use of the properties,” and “Gallo and Elmas secured and profited from mortgage loans that were approved at lower interest rates,” the DOJ claimed.

The alleged conspiracy also included falsifying property records, including “building safety and financial information of prospective borrowers to facilitate mortgage loan approval,” the DOJ alleged.

In a statement, NJ Lenders Corp told HousingWire that it is cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation progresses.

“NJ Lenders is proud of its 33 years of successfully assisting homeowners with integrity and professionalism. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement and the ongoing investigation of two former employees,” said Mark Tabakin, an attorney for NJ Lenders.

“The actions of these former employees appear to have been coordinated to benefit them financially while taking advantage of the reputation and trust of the firm,” he continued. “NJ Lenders’ work will continue uninterrupted as we provide the highest level of service to our clients.”

Gallo originated more than $1.4 billion in loans between 2018 and October 2023, according to the DOJ. When listed as the fourth top-producing LO in 2022 by Scotsman Guide, the publication placed his total volume at $1.175 billion for that year alone. One-third of his loans were purchases, with the remainder being refinances.

“The conspiracy to commit bank fraud charge carries a maximum potential penalty of 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine, or twice the gross gain or loss from the offense, whichever is greatest,” DOJ said.

Gallo joined CrossCountry Mortgage in October 2023, according to NMLS licensing information. His webpage at CCM was taken down on Wednesday, and a spokesperson for the Cleveland-based retail lender did not immediately return a request for comment.

This story has been updated with a statement from NJ Lenders Corp.
