Ayodhya Souvenirs: Rss, Vhp ‘tolis’ Take Ayodhya Souvenirs To Two Lakh Homes | Allahabad News

Prayagraj: Continuing its Grih Sampark Abhiyan (drive to contact public at home), volunteers of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other Hindu frontal organisations covered several localities in Prayag region on Sunday. A ‘toli’ (batch) of RSS workers visited Ganganagar area and distributed ‘pujit akshat’, ‘patrak’ and photo of lord Ram temple among Hindu families.When they visited the Swami Sadanand Ashram, the saints and seers welcomed them and praised their work of distribution of souvenirs of the forthcoming Ayodhya event. Saints said that after a long time, the auspicious occasion had arrived and people of all Hindu families must celebrate it like Diwali on January 22. The VHP and RSS authorities have set the target to cover 2 lakh homes for distribution of the souvenirs.
Apart from volunteers of VHP and RSS, the prominent seers and saints associated, along with their followers were also took part in the distribution campaign that was launched on January 1.
A senior RSS functionary said, “We have set a target to cover 3,084 villages in Prayagraj district between January 1 and 15 to distribute the souvenirs and groups were assigned to cover every Hindu home in villages and blocks of the district.
Groups of five members each are covering assigned villages, the groups of 20 to 40 members each are covering urban areas. During the mega connect drive, they are also appealing to every Hindu family to light diyas in their homes for at least five days and play or sing the Ram dhun in their areas on January 22 once the consecration ceremony was over”.
“Since the ‘pran prathistha’ ceremony is going to be held on January 22, VHP and RSS volunteers are assigned to cover all villages, blocks, semi urban and urban areas by January 15 . Besides, RSS and VHP functionaries have also formed groups to deck up and illuminate with scores of earthen diyas at local temples on January 22. The Akshat Kalash yatra was also taken out at Lohgara in Shankargarh block on Sunday.
RSS and VHP volunteers will also organise special puja at temples to mark the historic occasion. In all, around 55,000 ‘tolis’, comprising 5 lakh men, are reaching out to the public in over 22,000 villages and 20 districts of Kashi Prant.
