108-ft long incense stick brings Gujarat’s fragrance to Ayodhya Ram temple | Lucknow News



AYODHYA/LUCKNOW: The 108-feet long incense stick, all the way from Gujarat, reached the temple town in the early morning hours of Monday. A contribution of various farmers and local residents of Gujarat, the unique offering to be put forth before lord Ram, will cover an area of 50 km with its fragrance.
The incence stick weighs 3,610 kg and almost 3.5 feet wide, said officials involved with the process of bringing it to Ayodhya.”It took more than six months to prepare the incense stick in Vadodra. Cow dung, ghee, essence and extract of flowers, ayurvedic products and herbs were used to prepare the ‘dhoop agarbatti’,” added officials.
Apart from laborious work in its making, a special trailer was used to transport it from Gujarat to Ayodhya, along with a cavalcade of motor vehicles who were involved with the process of preparing the stick.
